Russia launched a fresh drone attack on Kyiv on Thursday, just hours after an overnight barrage of ballistic missiles and drones targeted the capital and the Kyiv region. Around a dozen attack drones were reported over the city, with Ukrainian air defenses engaging them. Preliminary reports indicated a fire at the Valeriy Lobanovskyi Stadium in central Kyiv, near the capital’s main Khreshchatyk Street. Another fire broke out in the Holosiivskyi district after drone debris fell, according to initial reports. Air defenses were still working to bring down Russian drones as the attack continued, while residents sought shelter in Kyiv’s metro stations and bomb shelters.
