Important industry and business leaders have started to step out in demand for responsible Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption. They have warned against the risks of AI.
One of such leaders is Chinyere Nwoga, President of the Port Harcourt Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (PHCCIMA), who has called on business leaders to embrace AI responsibly.
She has also stressed the need to balance innovation with security, accountability, and trust.
Nwoga made the call while delivering a brief remark at an executives-only roundtable on “Preventing Shadow AI Risks,” organised by AI-Nigeria in partnership with the Rivers State Branch of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) and Deodotti Limited, at Novotel Hotel, Port Harcourt.
Responsible AI is indicated as a practice and framework for designing, developing, and deploying artificial intelligence systems safely, ethically, and transparently. It ensures that AI technology benefits society while minimizing risks like discrimination, data leaks, and harm.
