What's the storyThe United States Geological Survey (USGS) has clarified that the devastating flash floods in Nepal were not triggered by an earthquake but by a glacial collapse that caused seismic activity and "catastrophic" downstream impacts in Nepal and Tibet.
The initial seismic activity was reported as a 4.4-magnitude earthquake along the Nepal-China border north of Kathmandu at 8:37am (local time).
