Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara State to put aside their differences, embrace one another and unite to defeat the All Progressives Congress in the 2027 elections.
The call came as the senator representing Kwara Central senatorial district, Saliu Mustapha, challenged Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq to a public debate ahead of the elections.
AbdulRazaq is the APC candidate for the Kwara Central senatorial district in the 2027 election.
Saraki made the call on Wednesday when he hosted Mustapha, who emerged the PDP senatorial candidate after dumping the APC and the PDP senatorial candidate for Kwara North, Baba Giya Kolo, alongside their supporters at his residence in Ilorin.
According to a statement issued by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Saraki described the decision of Mustapha and Kolo to join the PDP and their commitment to the party as courageous steps towards rebuilding and advancing the state.
