Kwankwaso
Vice-presidential candidate of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has criticised the composition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 election, urging its Director-General, Abdul’aziz Yari, to reconsider his role.
Kwankwaso, in a statement posted on X on Sunday, questioned the decision of Yari, a former Zamfara State governor and prominent APC figure, to lead the campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election.
He argued that the composition of the council showed that the ruling party was relying on political actors who had either supported or served in the present administration.
