Troops of Operation Enduring Peace have intensified operations across Plateau State, rescuing two kidnapped victims and disrupting suspected terrorists in separate operations.
The development was contained in a statement signed by Chinonso Polycarp Oteh, Media Information Officer, Joint Task Force Operation Enduring Peace and made available to Journalists on Wednesday in Jos.
“Troops of Sector 3 deployed within Bassa Local Government Area, acting on credible information on the kidnap of one Mr Ndubuisi Onuigbo, initiated a search and rescue operation leading to the successful rescue of the kidnapped victim,” Oteh said.
He said the rescue operation was conducted at about 9am on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, as part of efforts to deny terrorist elements freedom of action across the state. Oteh added that troops of Sector 2, deployed at Kukawa village in Kanam Local Government Area, encountered suspected terrorists during a fighting patrol in the early hours of Wednesday.
