Preliminary information revealed that on the evening of Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the suspect allegedly attacked his father and fled the scene after the incident.
Police in Anambra State have arrested a 20-year-old man, identified as Pascal Ogbogu, over the alleged murder of his 56-year-old father in Abatete, Idemili North Local Government Area of the state.
The suspect was arrested in the early hours of Wednesday, following a coordinated effort by police operatives, family members, members of the Abatete Vigilante and community members who assisted in tracking and locating him.
The Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, disclosed the arrest while commending the community for its prompt response and cooperation with the police.
