Egypt's President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has announced that the country's military is prepared to face any external challenges.
Speaking at a ceremony in the Strategic Command headquarters located in the New Capital, the president stated that the Egyptian Armed Forces are “fully prepared and ready to defend Egypt and its resources with capability against any external threat”.
The address took place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, during an event marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birth.
According to Egypt Today, El-Sisi emphasized that he keeps a close and continuous watch on the combat readiness and field capabilities of the nation's military branches.
