Apple Wallet driver’s license support launches in 15th state

Apple Wallet driver’s license support has gradually expanded to new states since first being announced at WWDC in 2021. The first signs of Virginia preparing support emerged earlier this year. As first spotted by MacRumors, Virginia and Apple officially launched the feature today.

You can add your driver’s license to Apple Wallet by going to the Wallet app on iPhone and tapping the plus icon in the upper-right corner. You’ll then need to scan the front and back of your driver’s license and verify your identity.

Once you’ve added your license to Apple Wallet, you can use it at TSA checkpoints at more than 250 airports in the United States, as well as select businesses and venues.
