Aerospace and defence components maker Sigma Advanced Systems said that it has secured a nearly £125 million (around ₹1,600 crore) long-term contract from Rolls-Royce through its UK subsidiary Bromford Precision Solutions.The agreement builds on the around £300 million (about ₹3,800 crore) Rolls-Royce long-term agreement secured earlier and broadened the Group’s product offering, manufacturing capability and content across critical aerospace programmes. Together, the agreements significantly strengthen Sigma’s position within Rolls-Royce’s UK supply chain while increasing long-term revenue visibility, the company said.Its acquisition of Bromford adds highly complementary manufacturing capabilities in aero engine rings and casings, and advanced precision manufacturing, enabling it to supply a broader portfolio of complex engine components, Sigma said. Under the agreement, Bromford will manufacture various critical engine structures at Sigma’s India and UK manufacturing facilities, creating a more comprehensive dual-source solution as directed by Rolls-Royce.“Global OEMs like Rolls-Royce are increasingly looking to India not just for cost advantage, but for engineering depth, quality and scale,” Sigma Advanced Systems CEO Sunil Kalidindi said.
