Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Prime Video is teasing the new film The Love Hypothesis.

The streaming service shared a trailer for the movie Wednesday featuring Lili Reinhart (Riverdale) and Tom Bateman (Da Vinci's Demons, Based on a True Story).

The Love Hypothesis is a romantic comedy based on the Ali Hazelwood novel. The film follows the romance between Olive (Reinhart), a PhD candidate, and Adam (Bateman), a professor, which begins with the pair fake dating.

The trailer shows Olive and Adam, known as "Dr. Evil," agree to fake a relationship after Olive learns her best friend Ahn (Rachel Marsh) may be getting involved with her crush Jeremy (Nicholas Duvernay).
