MANILA, Philippines — Data shared by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) on Wednesday showed it had pre-screened 23,344 applicants for the 2026 recruitment quota.
According to the statistics sent by the BFP to reporters, out of the 23,344 pre-screened applicants, only 22,637 filed applications, with 22,206 applications being approved and registered.

Of the 22,206 approved and registered applications, 13,508 were from registered criminologists who opted not to take the digital exam for the recruitment; 8,153 who took the exam; and 545 did not take the exam.
