Aug. 26 (UPI) -- The owner of a pastry shop in Cornwall, England, captured video of an unusual sight on his drive to work -- a wallaby hopping through the center of a town.

Scot Weller, owner of Original Cornish Pasties, posted a video to the business' Facebook page showing the wallaby he spotted hopping down a Liskeard road about 5:30 a.m. Monday.

"I originally thought it was like a German shepherd, because of the dark colors and the big ears -- and I was thinking: 'Hang on. No, it's not. It's hopping,'" Weller told the BBC.

"Then it's going past the Spar shop and I thought I'm going to follow that because I'll have to tell the RSPCA or the police that there's a wallaby around," he said.

Weller eventually lost track of the animal. Devon and Cornwall Police responded to the neighborhood but were unable to locate the marsupial.
