Villagers who found six bodies, a woman, three girls and two boys, floating in the Bhutnal Lake near Vijayapura alerted the police on Wednesday.The police who rushed to the spot said that the exact cause of the deaths is not known.They suspected that the victims might have slipped into the water body during a visit.The Adarsh Nagar Police identified the deceased as 35-year-old Shobha Mallikarjun Jalageri, resident of Toravi, and her children 15-year-old Vidya, 13-year-old Suvarna, 12-year-old Tipparaya, 10-year-old Sanika and six-year-old Vikas.Shobha’s husband Mallikarjun Bhimshi Jalgeri has filed a complaint with the Vijayapura Rural Police stating that his wife and children have gone missing.The couple had had a quarrel over a domestic issue, he told the police.Mallikarjun identified the bodies on Wednesday.Fire and Emergency Services personnel retrieved the bodies from the lake.Villagers told the personnel that they found the bodies floating on the edge of the lake.Superintendent of Poice Laxman Nimbargi, Deputy Superintendent of Police S.
