Taxpayers falling afoul of the tax authorities will be given a chance to pay discounted fines if they accept the results of the inspection rather than trying to contest them.
But that discount is offered only to those who confess before being inspected.
A request for reconsideration lowers the discount to 30%, and taking the case to court – 25% if the taxpayer abandons the case up to a day before the court hearing.
A quarter of the final fine must be paid upfront; the rest, in up to 12 monthly installments.
