ALBAWABA - The United States has placed a reward of up to $8 million for information leading to the identification or capture of Sanaullah Ghaffari, the leader of ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program announced in a post.The State Department added that Ghaffari, also known as Shahab al-Muhajir, was born in Afghanistan in 1994 and currently leads ISIS-K, the regional branch of the Islamic State operating in Afghanistan and neighboring countries.The American government placed ISIS-K on the U.S.-designated Foreign Terrorist Organization list.It is worth noting that al-Muhajir is an experienced military leader and one of ISIS-K's "urban lions" in Kabul, as described by an ISIS communiqué.He has been involved in guerrilla operations and the planning of suicide and complex attacks.In addition, al-Muhajir also approves all ISIS-K operations throughout Afghanistan and arranges funding to conduct operations.The U.S. Department of State announced, "If you have information on Ghafari, send it to us via our Tor-based tip line or text us on Signal or Telegram. You could be eligible for a reward and relocation."
