Katie Price has revealed she is seeing a medical specialist after leaving her family concerned by her unexplained weight loss. The former glamour model, 48, who has previously denied using weight loss medication, has sparked concern this year with her worryingly thin frame.Back in January she revealed she was seeking medical advice after being left 'horrified' by photos of her 'gaunt' appearance. And in a health update last week, Katie explained she is now being sent for blood tests and has to see a gastroenterologist (a doctor who specialises in the digestive system). Speaking to her sister Sophie on their podcast The Katie Price Show, she said: 'The doctors have rang me. I've got to go back and have two more blood tests because I've got to see a gastroenterologist or something to get to the bottom of why I'm losing weight.'The gastroenterologist, whatever they're called, have asked me to do two more blood tests. I don't know what they're tested for and then we'll take it from there.' He's come here and cooked me dinner and he's cooked me another one for tomorrow. Bless him.''Otherwise she won't eat!' Junior fumed.'She won't cook for herself so I just had to come round and cook her some dinner. Normalise doing that people, for your mum.'Just months ago, Katie admitted she had become too thin and that she was trying to gain weight whilst also seeking medical advice.Appearing on Good Morning Britain in March, host Susanna Reid said: 'Katie, can I ask, because I am concerned about your weight. You are very, very, very, skinny.'Katie replied: 'Yes, and I am glad you asked this!''Now, people do say, is it because you are overdoing the weight loss medication or are you a healthy weight? Have you got that established?' Susanna asked. I recognise I have lost weight. I look too skinny, I look gaunt.'So I have been to the doctors, to see why am I losing, I have done all the blood tests, I have even done the poo one, as well, to find out.'Susanna asked: 'The doctor says you are okay?'Katie explained: 'I said to them, everyone said I am on Ozempic, they said, well we can tell in your bloods you're not.'I am lacking in iron, they are now checking the other bit. And I am going through premenopause at the moment as well.'She added: 'I am healthy, so nobody worry about me.'Giving an update in February, she said she had put on seven pounds thanks to her husband Lee – as she described him as a feeder.Katie shared a picture of her pedicured feet on the scales, writing: '7 stone 12 pounds I've put on weight. Everyone mentioning my weight here you go I'm healthy.'
