MANILA, Philippines — The country’s non-life insurance industry posted a nearly 10 percent jump in total net premiums in the first half of 2026, as premium growth slightly outpaced the increase in claims paid.
According to the Insurance Commission (IC), the sector’s total net premiums rose 9.96 percent to P44.19 billion from January to June, up from P40.18 billion in the same period last year.
