Three members of a local vigilante group have been killed after gunmen attacked a civilian guard post at Gwa Rim community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The incident, according to locals, occurred at about 2am on Wednesday when the gunmen opened fire on the vigilantes who were keeping watch at the community guard post.
A native of Riyom, Damba Dang, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent, said the attackers struck when the community was asleep, killing three of the local security guards.
