Revolut has joined the rush among global banks and payment firms to roll out stablecoins, introducing a euro-pegged token called EURR.
In a statement shared with The Block on Wednesday, the crypto-friendly fintech described EURR as "the first step" in its broader stablecoin strategy, which includes plans for tokens linked to other currencies.
It will initially be available to eligible customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal.
Revolut said EURR is issued by Bridge Building S.A., a subsidiary of Bridge, adding that the token is designed to maintain a value of €1 and is backed by reserves held by the issuer under applicable MiCA requirements.
Bridge was acquired by Stripe for $1.1 billion in February 2025.
