Russia has significantly boosted the production and delivery of its Su-34 strike fighters, which are recognized as the heaviest and longest-range combat aircraft in active service today.
The state defense conglomerate Rostec announced that domestic production of these highly capable jets had “more than doubled over the two years” leading up to April 2025.
The aircraft are manufactured by the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association under Russia's state defense procurement program to replenish and expand its tactical aviation forces.
United Aircraft Corporation General Director Vadim Badekha emphasized the significance of the platform, noting that these aircraft "form the basis of frontline air striking power" and have demonstrated high combat effectiveness.
Based on intensive operational experience, the Su-34 has received several critical modifications.
