Mayoral candidate Brad Bradford distanced himself Tuesday from a small-business advocate, whose endorsement he welcomed last week, over a series of Islamophobic social media posts she authored earlier this year.
“I wasn’t aware of Catherine Swift’s posts on Islam,” said Bradford in an online statement Tuesday morning. “Now that I am, I condemn them completely, and suggest to her that she should take them down and apologize. I don’t want or need the support of those who promote division and prejudice.”
