Kano State Police Command has confirmed that one person was killed while three others sustained injuries after a man allegedly opened fire during a marriage ceremony, popularly known as a “DJ” event.
The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Abdullahi Haruna-Kiyawa, said the incident occurred at Tudun Yola on Aug. 16.
He said the police had arrested a 34-year-old man, Rabiu Mukhtar, in connection with the alleged offence.
This is the latest in a string of killings that have rocked the crime-ridden country in recent years.
