He’s expected to recover in 10 days to two weeks, a relatively minor timeline that nonetheless carries extra weight given what Maddison has already been through.
What happened at Brentford
Maddison came off the bench against Brentford and lasted just 22 minutes before an awkward fall ended his afternoon early. Manager Roberto De Zerbi described it as “a small injury” in his post-match comments, though subsequent assessments revealed the slight fracture.
De Zerbi confirmed during a pre-match press conference that the club will take no risks with Maddison’s recovery.
