Three masked men allegedly decamped with gold jewellery and cash from a house at Kuppanaickanur in Namakkal on Monday evening.The police said that the houseowner, K. Suriya (29), had gone to his father’s residence at Gandhipuram. On Monday evening, he returned to his house and found the door lock broken. He checked the house and found that 20 sovereign of jewellery and ₹17 lakh in cash were missing.On information, Senthamangalam police reached the spot and held an inquiry. Forensic experts lifted fingerprints from the house and a sniffer dog was also pressed into service. The police verified CCTV footage in the locality and found three masked men entering the house.
