Coming out of a small village in Bihar to reach the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Hyderabad, and then building a fashion brand with 42 stores across the country, is a big achievement in itself.

But the real direction of Nagmani Roy's journey changed when his retail business shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic and he returned to Vaishali, his ancestral region.

In the village he saw that many women had traditional skills, but limited access to markets, design and regular income.

This is where Earthomadic Foundation and Project Anuswaar began.

The aim of these initiatives is to connect traditional crafts with the modern market and to create sustainable livelihood opportunities for rural women.
