Boxing champion Zolani Tete, who was shot dead outside his home at NU17, Mdantsane, on Friday. Four men have appeared in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court for his murder
The murder of Zolani Tete was meticulously planned, with the alleged mastermind even going as far as hiring a middleman to recruit two hitmen to ambush the boxing champion at his own gate.
That is the state's case against the four men who appeared in the Mdantsane Magistrate's Court on Tuesday for Tete's murder and the attempted murder of his girlfriend.
Tete, 38, was shot in NU17, Mdantsane, as he waited for his gate to open at about 6.30 pm on Friday.
He drove into the yard in an attempt to escape the gunfire but died at the scene.
