A documentary called 'From Dust We Spin' is putting Mitchells Plain on the map for all the right reasons.
The award-winning production follows the journey of a young, passionate female spinner who finds freedom in the outlawed sport of spinning.
The documentary had its world premiere at the Durban International Film Festival, where the film won Best Documentary in South Africa and is now eligible for consideration at the Oscars.
This must-see film was featured at the kykNet Silwerskermfees this past weekend at The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay.
The film directed by Julia Jansch had audieces captivated from start to finish and follows the journey and challenges of Mitchells Plain se Logan Maart, 21, and her mentor Mark Linden.
