FULFILLING his childhood passion, a Johannesburg director and producer is set to release his latest film, Good Wh*res And Bad Laws.
Nikhail Moodley, professionally known as Nick Hail, 26, said the film, set in a dystopian version of Johannesburg where the digital age had collapsed, followed two corrupt police officers who arrived at a brothel after completing a high-stakes job.
He described the film as a neo-noir crime thriller with elements of action and social commentary.
“Here (the brothel) is where a mysterious briefcase sparks a violent struggle between sex workers, criminals, and corrupt law enforcement. As alliances shift and trust disappears, each character must decide how far they are willing to go to survive.
