Democrats on Congress' Joint Economic Committee released a report Monday finding that President Donald Trump's oil and gas stock holdings gained as much as $15.5 million this year, as energy shares rose amid the Iran war.

According to his 2025 annual financial disclosure, Trump's oil and gas holdings were valued somewhere between $12.5 million and $45.6 million. The committee's analysis determined that those positions appreciated roughly 39% on average through August 17, bringing their estimated worth to a range of $17.2 million to $61.1 million, the report said. Because federal disclosures use value bands instead of specific figures, pinning down an exact gain is not possible.
