Image: Jouni Immonen / YleSTT11:32A survey of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) found Finance Minister Riikka Purra (Finns) as the favourite choice for the country's next prime minister.The survey was commissioned by the Federation of Finnish Enterprises (Suomen Yrittäjät).Purra, who chairs the Finns Party, received 20 percent support as the next PM. The second-most popular choice was Prime Minister Petteri Orpo (NCP), who received support from 17 percent of the respondents.The survey found that if parliamentary elections were held right now, 29 percent of entrepreneurs and SME representatives said they would vote for the PM's National Coalition Party.Meanwhile, support for the Finns Party stood at 19 percent and the opposition Centre Party was at 11 percent. Compared to the federation's previous polling, the NCP's lead has shrunk, as its support stood at 36 percent a year ago.Research firm Verian conducted the survey during the first half of August. Just under 1,100 SME representatives responded to the survey, of whom 45 percent were sole traders. The results have a margin of error of 2.8 percentage points in either direction.
