The Made by Ball (MBB) Blue Soldiers, a prominent Johannesburg-based basketball club featuring talent from the elite Basketball Africa League, retained their national 3x3 title at the Red Bull Half Court finals in Soweto on August 22.
The Takeover claimed the women’s crown at the Klipspruit Sports Centre, matching the men's achievement. Both squads earned the right to represent South Africa at the World Final in Manila, Philippines, scheduled for December 5, 2026.
The MBB Blue Soldiers became South Africa's first consecutive national champions since the competition launched locally in 2025.
