Alleged crime kingpin, Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala has return to the Madlanga Commission hot seat to continue his testimony.
Alleged underworld figure Vusimuzi “Cat” Matlala is back before the Madlanga Commission on Tuesday, facing renewed scrutiny as his lead lawyer, Advocate Anneline van den Heever, returns after missing Monday’s proceedings due to illness.
The proceedings began with Matlala telling the commission about his relationship with alleged tender fraudster Hangwani Morgan Maumela.
He said that he was friends with Maumela because of their love for sports cars.
Last week the Special Tribunal ordered the sale of Maumela's R9.5 million Ferrari linked to Tembisa Hospital corruption.
