Barbie has honoured Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe with a new Barbie Signature Doll marking what would have been the actress and singer’s 100th birthday.
Born Norma Jeane Mortenson on 1 June 1926, Monroe rose from humble beginnings to become one of Hollywood’s most recognisable stars and an enduring figure in film, fashion and popular culture.
The new doll is inspired by Monroe’s iconic performance of “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.
It features a bold pink gown with an oversized bow, dramatic gloves and diamond-inspired jewellery, recreating one of cinema’s most memorable fashion moments.
