Another added “I live by Old Spanish and Harrison and the helicopter was up last night and again tonight. The police cars were driving through the neighborhood last night with spotlights in our yards. I hear the copter close by, not as close as last night.”Arrests made in Carlos Ramirez's shootingSantiago Rogers, 39, was arrested on August 22 at a hotel near Irvington and Palo Verde roads. He was charged with first-degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault. He is being held without bond and will appear in court on September 1 for a preliminary hearing. Ramirez was shot and killed at his home near Valencia and Camino Verde roads on the morning of August 19. His fiancée, Aaliyah, a 23-year-old PCSD corrections officer, was also hurt in the shooting and is recovering.
