Wendy’s is looking to beef up its lukewarm business with the appointment of Tariq Hassan as its chief marketing and customer growth officer, a newly created role which takes effect immediately according to a statement released by the brand.

Hassan, who stepped down as SVP, U.S. chief marketing and customer experience officer at McDonald’s at the beginning of 2025, will serve on the Wendy’s senior leadership team and report to president and CEO Robert D. “Bob” Wright. Hassan replaces Lindsay Radkoski, who will depart the company after 15 years following a transition period with Hassan, according to the company. Radkoski has been CMO for the brand since 2024.
