Chelsea have had three bids turned down for England midfielder Alex Scott, with Bournemouth adamant that neither he nor any of their crown jewels will leave before 1 September.

Scott’s representatives broke off contract talks with the Cherries last month amid serious interest in the 23-year-old.

That prompted three offers from the Blues, which ranged from £62m to £68m.

But Bournemouth, who will learn their fate in the Europa League group stage draw on Friday, have emphatically reaffirmed their intention to keep Scott on the south coast this season.

Chelsea want Scott as they continue to juggle their midfield options, but sources told The i Paper the “not-for-sale” stance on Bournemouth’s star players has been clearly communicated to the players, agents and rival clubs.
