While available on all Android devices, Google Clock received an icon redesign alongside the Pixel 11 launch. An update to Pixel Magnifier also brings a new icon.
The new Google Clock icon takes after Pixel Watch faces with thick pills used for the hour and minute hands. The blue face features a gradient effect, but no longer goes edge-to-edge. Rather, like all first-party Google apps these days, it is placed on a white background.
(This leaves Chrome as the lone major exception. Compared to Clock and YouTube Music, it is a much bigger app and does have its own identity. That said, the circular browser icon is already placed in a rounded square on macOS.)
Old vs. new
The non-live icon places the hands at 9:10 with a dot at the 30-minute mark. Meanwhile, the app shortcuts see some minor icon tweaks, while it’s now “Create alarm/timer” instead of “New alarm/timer.” We haven’t noticed any changes inside the app.
