Stand With Crypto, the nonprofit advocacy organization with deep ties to Coinbase, has thrown its weight behind 32 US House candidates as the 2026 midterm elections start to heat up. The endorsements, announced on August 24, represent the group’s largest single batch of political backing to date, and Senate endorsements are expected to follow before voters head to the polls in November.

The strategy is straightforward: find candidates who supported the Clarity Act, a bill designed to establish regulatory guardrails for digital assets, and make sure crypto-friendly voters know about them. The Clarity Act itself never cleared the Senate, but Stand With Crypto is treating support for the bill as a litmus test for who deserves the industry’s political capital.

A bipartisan roster with familiar names

The 32 endorsed candidates span both sides of the aisle, a deliberate choice for an organization positioning itself as nonpartisan. Republican endorsees include Tom Emmer and Bill Huizenga, two lawmakers who have been vocal about crypto-friendly regulation for years. On the Democratic side, Ritchie Torres and Josh Gottheimer round out the headliners, both representing a wing of the party that has resisted blanket hostility toward digital assets.
