IonQ Subsidiary Skyloom Reaches 84 On-Orbit Optical Terminals Supporting SDA Constellation

Space-based optical communications developer Skyloom Global—a subsidiary of IonQ (NYSE: IONQ)—has deployed dozens of additional Optical Communication Terminals (OCTs) into low-Earth orbit (LEO). Launched aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the optical payloads were integrated onto York Space Systems satellites supporting the U.S. Space Development Agency’s (SDA) Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA).
