Godrej Industries Group is planning to invest as much as ₹20,000 crore in Haryana, through which it is expected to create nearly 40,000 jobs.The planned investment, for which it entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the State Government, would build on the Group’s existing presence in Haryana, where it has invested approximately ₹12,000 crore to date.Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) is expected to be a key driver of the Group’s expansion, with plans to invest ₹16,000 crore in Haryana by FY28. The real estate developer has already invested around ₹11,000 crore in the state.GPL currently has 18 projects across Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Panipat and Kurukshetra. Its future expansion plans are expected to extend beyond residential development.Godrej Ventures, the Group’s real estate private equity arm, has invested about ₹1,000 crore in Haryana so far and plans to deploy an additional ₹3,500 crore towards Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram.The proposed office investments are expected to generate more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, while strengthening Gurugram’s commercial ecosystem and enhancing its appeal to multinational companies and global capability centres (GCCs).“We have invested significantly in the state over the years and our plans for further investment reflect our confidence in the market and our ability to build on the presence we have established,” Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson, Godrej Industries Group, said.He added that the MoU formalises the Group’s next phase of investment in Haryana and reflects its long-term commitment to the state’s economic and urban development.
