MANILA, Philippines — The owner of a gun used in the fatal shooting in Tacloban last June has already been indicted for criminal negligence, according to Justice Secretary Fredderick Vida on Monday.

Vida shared this development during the House of Representatives’ committee on appropriations 2027 budget for the agency when he was asked by Akbayan Party-list Rep. Dadah Karam Ismula if cases have been filed against the owner of the gun in the shooting.

“As of today, the owner of the gun in the Tacloban shooting, our local prosecutor’s office in Tacloban, has already issued a resolution indicting the owner of the gun for criminal negligence,” Vida said.
