MANILA, Philippines — The reported request by Vice President Sara Duterte for a private meeting with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. was “fake news,” her defense spokesperson Michael Poa said Monday.
Poa made the pronouncement amid circulating rumors online claiming that Duterte has requested a private meeting with Marcos – something even the Palace did not confirm.

“I had a chance to talk to the Vice President … [at] talagang fake news siya,” said Poa in a press conference after the 17th day of Duterte’s impeachment trial.
