U.S. stock futures and oil prices fell Monday as investors awaited details of a sweeping new sanctions package against Iran and braced for a pivotal week that includes Nvidia $NVDA earnings and Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh's speech at the Jackson Hole economic symposium.

E-Mini Nasdaq $NDAQ-100 futures posted the steepest losses at 0.69%, with E-Mini S&P 500 contracts off 0.29% and E-Mini Dow futures shedding 0.26%. Weakness in Asian technology stocks also weighed on sentiment, with Alibaba among the decliners after announcing a $10.2 billion share offering intended to finance its artificial intelligence ambitions, according to The Wall Street Journal.
