Oswin Appollis' workload being managed at Orlando Pirates as Bafana Bafana's World Cup players continue to struggle with full fitness.

Orlando Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou is taking a cautious approach with Oswin Appollis as the winger continues to work his way back to full fitness following Bafana Bafana’s World Cup campaign.

Appollis was withdrawn after 65 minutes during Pirates’ MTN8 semi-final first-leg victory over Sekhukhune United at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday, with Deon Hotto scoring the decisive goal.

The two sides meet again on Tuesday, this time in the Betway Premiership, and Ouaddou’s comments suggest Appollis’ workload will remain carefully managed.

The 24-year-old has featured in all five of Pirates’ matches this season but is yet to complete a full 90 minutes.
