Russian attacks have damaged 492 locomotives and 249 railway carriages since the start of the full-scale invasion. A government action programme envisages repairing 70% of the damaged locomotives.

Details: Fifty-two employees of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) have been killed while carrying out their professional duties, and another 317 have been injured. Since the beginning of this year alone, Russia has attacked Ukraine's railway infrastructure 1,534 times, according to Mykola Kalashnyk, Ukraine's Minister for Restoration, Infrastructure and Transport.
