IT & HRD Minister Nara Lokesh will inaugurate Suzlon Energy Limited (SEL)’s S144 turbine blade manufacturing unit at Hulikera village in Kanekal Mandal of Anantapur district on August 25.The plant has been set up at a cost of ₹10,000 crore for an output of 1,325 Megawatts, according to an official release.It was stated that SEL has emerged as the largest wind energy developer in Andhra Pradesh (AP) with an installed capacity of over 1,700 MW. The company has plans to establish an additional 5,000 MW of Renewable Energy (RE) projects in the State by 2030.SEL has a significant presence with massive wind power projects in Anantapur district having started its operations in 2004.It is currently operating a rotor blade manufacturing unit in Uravakonda constituency, and has been executing wind energy projects in collaboration with prominent companies like Tata Power.The company’s major customers include Tata Power, Waaree Forever Energies Pvt.
