Why did he have to sleep on cardboard on the floor of his first house for months? And what has he said about his love life?Iwan's TV show stint before axeAlthough he is known for appearing on Sort Your Life Out, Iwan also appeared on Channel 4 daytime show, Steph’s Packed Lunch - hosted by Steph McGovern. Iwan made appearances as the show’s “bargain hunter” often sharing the best deals with viewers watching at home.‌Previously gushed about his time on the show, Iwan said: “She [Steph McGovern] is the most professional person, and she just creates an amazing atmosphere in the studio. She’s a powerhouse.”Unfortunately, Steph’s Packed Lunch was axed in 2023 after three years. In a statement the broadcaster claimed that it had made the tough decision to cancel the show due to audience viewing habits changing.Part of the statement read: "With audience habits changing quicker than ever, we have to make difficult decisions about which programmes to invest in to best drive our digital-first strategy and we have decided not to recommission Steph's Packed Lunch when its existing production contract ends in December 2023."‌Why Iwan had to 'live on cardboard on floor'In 2009, Iwan bought his first home in South-West London. Talking to Metro in 2022, Iwan revealed he transformed the property on a budget - but as a result had to sleep on cardboard on the floor.“Cash was tight so doing it up was on a total budget. One of the first things I did was rip up the old carpet, and for the first couple of months I lived on cardboard on the floor,” he said.‌The telly star added: “I have fond memories of eating pizza on camping chairs on top of a makeshift cardboard carpet after moving in.”Iwan's other career venturesAs well as his telly career, Iwan also has a huge online following, boasting 132k YouTube subscribers and 410k followers on Instagram.‌Talking in 2019 about what made him start a YouTube channel, he explained to Ten Eighty Magazine: “During some house renovations, I started watching DIY tutorials.|Many of them were US-based, so some of the materials weren’t available in the UK. So I thought I’d have a go at doing my own!” What’s more, earlier this year, he released his first book, Clean in 15: Create a Clean & Happy Home in Minutes.Iwan's relationship status‌Iwan usually keeps details of his private life low-key. He previously spoke about a “partner” but it is not known if they’re still together.Talking about his partner during a 2018 YouTube video Iwan revealed he could see himself moving to Germany as that is “where my partner is from”. He also previously shared he only puts out content and information online that he is “comfortable with”.Iwan is a proud “cat dad” to his two beloved pets, Pumpkin and Mittens. In July, he shared a sweet post on their ‘Gotcha Day’.
