For the Pasig City Government under Mayor Vico Sotto, improving health care is not simply a matter of adding facilities or expanding individual programs. It means building a delivery system that helps residents obtain the right care, navigate public health services more easily and receive support before their conditions become more difficult or costly to manage.

Sotto, Mayor, Pasig City; Dr. Joseph R. Panaligan, City Health Officer, Pasig City; Joan Armada-Urieta, Director, Heads Up PH, Unilab Foundation.

This commitment is at the center of a new partnership between the Pasig City Health Department and Unilab Foundation Inc. (ULF). The collaboration establishes a framework for strengthening primary health care, improving local health financing and PhilHealth processes, and expanding school- and community-based mental health support.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Mayor Victor Ma Regis N. Sotto for the City Government and ULF Executive Director Atty. Jose Maria “Joey” A. Ochave. It places the partnership under the management of the Pasig Local Health Board and ULF’s Sustainable Health Care and Heads Up PH programs.
