President Bola Tinubu on Sunday renewed the tenure of the Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority, Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos, and the Managing Director of the News Agency of Nigeria, Ali Mohammed Ali, for another three-year term each.

The President’s decision was disclosed in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday, titled, ‘President Tinubu Renews the Tenure of DG NTA, MD NAN.’

Onanuga said Tinubu first appointed Dembos and Ali on October 20, 2023, adding that their second term would commence on October 20, 2026.

Dembos, from Yola, Adamawa State, is a former National President of the Radio, Television, Theatre and Art Workers Union and previously served as Executive Director of Marketing at the NTA after his retirement in 2017.
